ERIC ZACKRISON BIO

Dr. Eric Zackrison is a seasoned leadership development, communication, and strategic planning expert. Holding an MBA and MA from Missouri State University and a PhD in Organizational Communication from UCSB, Eric merges his academic credentials with nearly 30 years of practical management experience to deliver insights that transform individuals, workplace relationships, teams, and organizations.

As a continuing lecturing professor at UCSB's Department of Technology Management, Eric stays abreast of the latest research, translating it into actionable skills for his audiences. His speaking engagements, workshops, consulting, and training sessions equip participants with practical tools to improve leadership and teamwork. His nearly one million views on LinkedIn Learning and Coursera attest to his ability to engage and inspire, making him a sought-after speaker, trainer, and consultant.

Eric has worked with a wide range of organizations, from civic institutions like the City of Santa Barbara to international non-profits like the Health Standards Organization and high-tech companies like Red Wire Space. He also actively supports small businesses through two Santa Barbara/Ventura County non-profits: Women's Economic Ventures and the Economic Development Collaborative.

In addition to his professional work, Eric serves on the board of Ventech, an organization that supports technology innovation and entrepreneurial growth, and on the board of the UCSB Communication Alumni Association, where he is a past chair. He is also the faculty advisor of Gaucho Creative, a student-run marketing consulting firm.
